Dogfood Digital LLC — Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 9/18/2026
Dogfood Digital LLC (“Dogfood Digital,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) builds and ships small‑business websites and website support/maintenance services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and retain information when you visit our website, request a callback, participate in our intake process, or use any service we provide.
This Privacy Policy describes the workflow we utilize.
1. Information We Collect
A. Information You Provide Directly
We collect information you provide when you:
- Request a free callback or submit a form.
- Participate in an intake call and follow up calls to refine the website to suit your wants and needs.
- Approve or decline a delivered website.
- Communicate with us by email, SMS, or phone.
This may include:
- Name, business name, and contact details.
- Information about your business, offerings, and preferences.
- Permissions and consents required to operate our workflow.
- Call recordings.
B. Information Collected Automatically
When you visit our website, we collect:
- Device and browser information.
- IP address and general location.
- Pages visited and interaction logs.
C. Information Collected Through Our Scan Workflow
When we scan a publicly reachable business website, we collect:
- The business’s domain.
- The text of publicly reachable pages.
- Screenshots of publicly reachable pages.
- Our own scores, findings, and notes.
- Model‑extracted fields which may include your business name, offering, buyer‑facing summary, contact method.
Small‑business websites routinely display staff names, direct phone numbers, and email addresses. For that reason, scan output may contain personal data of natural persons, even though our customer is the business.
We do not access anything behind a login or otherwise made non‑public.
D. Information From Third‑Party Listing Sources
We may use publicly available business listings to identify which businesses to scan. These sources are public but may not originate from the business’s own website.
2. How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Operate our proprietary “BA=Score” to scan, score, and review workflows.
- Provide the private password protected review page for each scanned business.
- Conduct the AI intake call and build the customer’s website.
- Communicate with prospects and customers.
- Improve our systems and diagnostics.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal data. We never sell or share your info for marketing or other purposes outside of Dogfood Digital LLC except under a valid request from law enforcement with the proper paperwork justifying the request.
3. How We Share Information
We share information only with service providers who support our workflow:
- Cloudflare
- Hosts and serves private review pages behind per‑business links. These pages embed a full screenshot of the scanned business’s homepage.
- GitHub
- Runs our build pipeline. GitHub Actions retains model‑extracted profiles (business name, offering, buyer answer, summary, contact method) according to GitHub’s default cache retention.
- Anthropic
- Receives the text of scanned pages for our AI‑readiness lane. This transmission may include personal data displayed on the scanned business’s homepage.
- Google Drive
- Intended store for scan output once live. A service‑account credential exists, but no code writes to Drive today. When the copy is made, Google will process the stored scan reports and the identifier map linking dataset rows to business identity.
- PayPal
- Processes payments.
- Retell
- Processes and stores call recordings.
We do not characterize whether any service provider is a “processor” or “sub‑processor.” That classification belongs to your counsel.
We do not share personal data with third parties for marketing.
4. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate our website and understand usage. You may disable cookies in your browser settings.
5. Data Retention
A. Scan Output
We apply a 45‑day deletion rule to identified scan artifacts (screenshots, raw captures, rendered media, text captures carrying identity). Anonymous structured rows may be retained.
Retention for consented customers is governed by our consent register.
B. Intake and Customer Data
Information provided directly by a customer is retained as needed to operate the workflow and comply with legal obligations.
C. Repository History
Identified artifacts committed to our private repository persist in repository history unless purged by a history rewrite. Purge decisions follow our consent register and internal rulings.
6. Call Recording
All calls are recorded. Where two‑party consent is required, we honor it. A customer who does not consent does not proceed to a recorded call.
Our AI assistant identifies itself at the start of the call, asks permission to record, may offer one reconsider explanation, and ends the call on a final decline.
7. Your Choices
You may:
- Request a callback without becoming a customer.
- Decline call recording. We require all calls to be recorded. If you decline, we are unable to work with you. We record all calls to improve our services and to protect all parties involved. In the case of a disagreement the recordings are available to all parties involved. This is a fair process to provide excellent service and full transparency.
- Decline to proceed with the workflow before paying the reservation fee.
- Request access to or deletion of personal data we hold, subject to legal and operational limits.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal data. No system is perfectly secure.
9. Children’s Privacy
Our services are not directed to minors under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. The effective date will be posted at the top of the page.
